Add a New Christmas Tree Stand to the Christmas List

Do not let another Christmas come without thinking about purchasing a new Christmas tree stand. Add it to the Christmas list now!

How many years have we all gone shopping for the perfect live Christmas tree, spent hours trying to make the perfect selection, only to get home and find the tree leaning to the right or the left once we placed it in the Christmas tree stand?

One of the biggest problems with the stands is that it is not heavy enough to hold up the tree we select. How many of us have one of those three footed flimsy metal stands with the aluminum screws that are supposed to hold the tree in place? Each year we get the perfect tree decorated, step back to admire it, and watch as mom or dad places the star on the top of the tree. Everything was going good until the star was about to be placed. The tree started to lean, ever so slightly. By the time the star is securely placed on top, we are all relieved that we had decided to place the tree in one corner of the room this year. It can just lean into the corner. Maybe if we scoot the tree stand and the base a little closer to the corner the tree will look more balanced.

There are wonderful cast iron Christmas tree stands that are heavy enough to hold a tree upright without us fearing it will tip over. The base is deep enough to hold enough water to keep the tree fresh, although we should add water daily as a safety precaution. In fact, some of the cast iron stands are actually an asset to the tree. Not only will they hold the trunk securely. The stand looks so good, we may not include the tree skirt this year and show off the entire tree and Christmas tree stand.
