Christmas Ribbons and Bows

What Christmas present is complete without a beautiful bow?  While shopping for Christmas wrapping paper, be sure to look for appropriate ribbons and bows.  This is a must for your Christmas list.

Of course, we can rush out to purchase a bag of bows filled with a variety of colors.  Most come with a peel off back to make sticking the bow on the present easier.  Of course, we all know that most often the bow falls off before we get it to its recipient.  This year is the year to show off your skills by creating beautiful gifts on the outside as well as on the inside.

Ribbons are available in a variety of widths, some with wire edging, some without.  The ribbons that come with the wire edging makes it easier than ever to create an attractively wrapped present.  Again, preparation is the key to creating the perfect gift wrap.

Christmas ribbon is often found in red, green, and a variety of other solid colors, including silver and gold.  Other ribbons for the holidays are plaids, used on solid color wrapping paper, or a fabric type ribbon that looks almost like a filagree.  To make the best of the holiday season — without stress — is to begin looking for Christmas ribbon now.  Visit a local craft shop or shop online.  While it is fun to purchase ribbon in the craft store, we have found that often a wider variety is available online and often is far more cost efficient.

Remember, with proper storage any ribbon left over this year will be available next year.  That’s the real beauty of keeping a Christmas list year round.  Christmas wrapping paper, ribbon and bows can be carried over from one year to the next, offering a greater variety of wrapping choices each year.
