Christmas Tree Stands
Before you regret it another year, add a new Christmas Tree Stand to the Christmas list of things to do ahead of time.
Selecting a Christmas tree stand is not as easy as it once was. Several years ago the selection was minimal. Today there are tree stands that are not only functional but also quite nice to look at, eliminating the need to cover the base of the tree with a tree skirt.
When considering the purchase of a Christmas tree stand, it is important to first decide if the tree will be a real tree or an artificial tree.
Many artificial trees come with a stand, but this year there are many variations, including the rotating Christmas tree stand. What a beautiful and unique way to display the focal point of all holiday decorations. Imagine the well decorated tree slowly turning to the delight of all who see it. Passersby will slow down when they pass the bay window to see the spectacle.
For those who prefer a live cut tree, there are also many variations of tree stands. Over the years, we have determined that few are better than the cast iron Christmas tree stand. It offers enough weight and has a wide enough base to keep the tree from toppling over. Additionally, cast iron stands are decorative enough in their own right not to require a tree skirt. Once a cast iron stand is purchased, it will be the last time a family needs to worry. It will last forever.
Others may prefer the more typical tree stand, although it bears noting that regardless of the selection, be sure to purchase a stand that has sufficient base width and weight to support the weight of the tree.
The selections range from cast iron stands to stands that rotate. We have selected some of our favorites. Click any picture to view the details.
