Christmas Wrapping Paper
Be sure to put Christmas wrapping paper near the top of the Christmas list. If there is one thing that can create stress as the holiday season approaches, it is running out of the necessary supplies to get all the presents wrapped. We all know when we receive a gift that looks as if it were wrapped at the last minute, with thin torn paper.
It is important to purchase the gift wrapping paper ahead of time because we never know when we may come across the perfect gift for our kids or spouse. Instead of spending time trying to hide the present, hoping they do not find it before the big day, wrap the present as soon as it is purchased and put it away. Not even the most clever of kids or inquisitive of spouses will dare to tear open a wrapped present ahead of time, especially if it looks as if care was taken when wrapping.
When purchasing wrapping paper, for any occasion, be careful to select a paper that is thick enough to cover any print or pattern that may be on the box or container. A good quality paper will not only prevent the recipient from being able to “read through” the paper but it will definitely give the present a better appearance. If we think about it, we spend more time during the holidays looking at the wrapped gift under the tree than we spend actually looking at the gift.
Traditionally, red and green have been the colors for Christmas paper. With a little thought, wrapping paper can be purchased that carries out the theme of the Christmas tree and interior decorations. Remember, the gifts will be under your tree before you deliver them. Carry on the theme of the holiday decorations while adding variety by using several different patterns and colors.
